Most full kitchen renovations run six to nine weeks on site, after a design and ordering phase of four to eight weeks. We agree the schedule before demolition starts, and your project lead updates you weekly against it.
It depends on the scope: structural changes, secondary suites, and most basement developments need City of Calgary permits. We handle the applications, drawings and inspections as part of every project, so you never deal with the permit counter yourself.
Usually, yes. We hoard off the work area, keep dust control running, and sequence the work so you keep a functioning kitchen or bathroom as long as possible. For complete home renovations we’ll tell you honestly if moving out for a phase will save you time and money.
Before the build starts you sign a scope that lists exactly what we’re doing and what it costs. If something unexpected turns up inside a wall, or you change your mind on a finish, we price the change and you approve it in writing before it happens. No surprise invoices at the end.
Yes. Basement and backyard suites are one of our specialties. Calgary’s secondary suite rules cover ceiling heights, egress windows, separate furnaces and more; we design to the current bylaw and register the suite so it’s fully legal from day one.
It varies more by scope than by room: layout changes, plumbing moves and material grades drive most of the difference. At your consultation we’ll give you an honest range for your project before you commit to anything, and the design phase turns that range into a fixed number.
